do you need to download the PATCH again or the whole game and then patch it??

Can someone point me to the right to direction to enter Jin's route? I put the patch in my game files (I'm sure it's the right location cos the xxx CGS for the other couples still work) and even opened it with note pad so I know the jin route lines are in there but I can't find any options to enter his route. I even followed a guide but when it comes to the phone convo with the mom where you "choose" a lover I only get soichiro, kanae or shinya and if I ignore it it just goes into Soichiro's route. Did I update my game wrong or something (all I did was put the patch in) or am I missing anything?

Can anyone tell me how to get one of Haato's endings (the other endings)? I have no idea how to get it or what it is (it's the last one on the right).
